Bright future manifesto polychrome resin lighting
“Bright Future” by Matteo Pellegrino reinterprets the protest sign, transforming it into a radiant beacon of hope and transformation, where light replaces words. A wooden pole supports a vibrant mass of polychrome resin, evoking (the act of) a demonstration while leaving space for an open and ever-changing message.
The resin drops create an effect of fluidity and layering, suggesting the evolution of ideas. The pole, a symbol of assertion and struggle, now supports not a slogan but a radiant light that transcends language and embodies hope; an invitation to imagine the future not as something rigid but as a constant transformation.
The piece stands as a visual manifesto without fixed declarations, a sign that illuminates new possibilities. The contrast between solid material and the lightness of resin suggests a dialogue between past and future, tradition and innovation. More than an object to be observed, “Bright Future” is a symbol (to be held) a message shaped by the gaze and interpretation of those who embrace it.
Curated by Federica Sala for secondome, Bright Future is part of Can You Imagine?, a collection which aims to promote creativity as a central and positive force to drive future scenarios.
